Guest Post: Fur real (and faux) for fall

Just like that, summer is (mostly) gone from the Carolinas. And what are we left with? Deliciously cooler temperatures that have us running for the boots, long sleeves and fur.

Faux and real fur dominated the runways for Fall 2010 in all shapes, sizes, colors, textures and uses.

How can you turn that runway look into a real way look at a fraction of the cost? Of course, Goodwill. Where else can you land a fur coat (or faux if you prefer) for $7.99?

Without fail, I have found at least one fur coat on the racks during my recent Goodwill visits. And, as a lover of vintage, the silhouettes are classic and retro at the same time. If you’re really lucky and an adventurous dresser, you may even nab a vintage fur stole or shrug. Hello, instant glamour!

Be on the lookout too for accessories (fur-trimmed boots, a fur-accented handbag) if you’re not ready to commit to a Chanel-level Chewbacca look.
