Welcome to WOW! Goodwill, the new blog of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont.
“Wow!” is something we hear a lot at Goodwill:
“Wow. I had no idea when I buy things in your stores, it helps put people in our community back to work.”
“Wow! Goodwill recycles used electronics? I had no idea. I’ve been wondering what to do with that old computer in my garage…”
“Wow! I wish I’d known years ago that I could put together a professional outfit for less than $15 at Goodwill.”
We’re thrilled to finally have a home for those “Wow!” moments, plus a place to share the Goodwill stories that aren’t often told—from the treasures waiting to be found in our stores and the very unusual donations we sometimes get, to what it’s like behind-the-scenes at Goodwill, our job training programs, and everything in between.
To celebrate, we’re kicking off our new blog with a contest: Cut the Clutter! It’s spring-cleaning season, and we’re offering one of our new readers the chance to kick off their spring cleaning with the help of a personal organizer.
Win: Up to eight hours with Julie Bertram of The Organizing Pro (www.theorganizingpro.com), to help get your home’s most cluttered space under control. (A $680 value!)
Julie is a member of the National Association of Organizing Professionals (NAPO), and helps her clients break free from the chaos of clutter to maximize efficiency and reduce stress.
How to enter (it’s easy, but be sure you follow the rules so you don’t get disqualified!):
- Become a fan of Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont on Facebook
- Post a photo of your most cluttered space to Goodwill’s Facebook wall with a caption (150 words max) on why your space deserves the makeover. (You only get one entry, so make sure you post the space that needs the most help.)
- Tell your friends!
