Rock Hill gets a new Goodwill Center!

January 12, 2011

Our new Goodwill Center in Rock Hill will open in 2011.

We’re thrilled to announce plans to build a new Goodwill Center in Rock Hill’s Riverview Commons shopping center! The new, 12,000-square-foot store and donation center at 1922 Mt. Gallant Road will feature a fresh, modern design–the first of its kind for us.

If you’ve been to any of our newer stores, or any of the stores that have been remodeled recently, you’ll be able to get a taste of what we have planned for this new location. “A lot of the elements from our Concord, Cornelius, Pineville and Weddington Road stores will be incorporated into our new Rock Hill store,” says Barbara Maida-Stolle, our Vice President of Retail Services.

As always, proceeds from the sale of donated items in all of our stores fund our job training and employment programs that assist thousands in our region each year. We’re excited to have a new, modern look for the shoppers and donors who make it possible for us to work toward our mission. We couldn’t do it without you!

Construction on this new location will begin immediately, and the center will replace our current Rock Hill store and donation center at 717  Albright Road, which opened in April 1985. We plan to open the store in the third quarter of 2011–hope to see you there!

    Hi Barbara —

We don’t have a specific date for the opening yet, but we’ll be sure to write about it here on the blog when we do!
